Intrinsic Motivation

Intrinsic motivation

Behavior driven by internal rewards!

What is Intrinsic Motivation?

when we are motivated to do certain things because they are enjoyable to do.

The reward is inherent to the activity itself and not due to some external factors, i.e. money, perks, or recognition.

When we engage in such activities, we are guided by intrinsic motivation.

Are more committed.

They have a stronger sense of personal commitment.

Why have this type of motivation?

♦ It allows one to  work autonomously and make decisions without constant supervision.

♦ Excitement for new responsibilities and challenging projects.

♦ Displaying a sense of commitment and purpose to ones role.
